Mouth cancer screening

Routine checks save lives

Although oral cancer is becoming increasingly common, successful treatment is much more likely if it is caught early. During your routine check-ups, we examine your mouth and use a handheld scanning device to look for anything unusual. We also encourage you to give up smoking as it has been linked to a number of cancers.

We recommend screening at least once a year, but do come and see us if you notice any changes between appointments.

If you need any more information, the Mouth Cancer Foundation can help.
